Kirium Pro Vision Wins Product of the Year Award

Intelligent lighting solution provider receives top accolade for its high-performance luminaire featuring integrated CCTV technology

DW Windsor, the exterior lighting specialist, is pleased to announce that Kirium Pro Vision has been awarded ‘Product of the Year – Luminaire 2021’ by the Highway Electrical Association (HEA).

The HEA Annual Conference and Awards celebrate the ‘best of the best’ in the highway electrical sector, recognising the valuable contributions made by the industry’s top performers. Overseen by a panel of judges, including the HEA President, HEA Vice President and a Local Authority representative, the ceremony took place on 28th October 2021 at the Celtic Manor and Resort in Wales.

Kirium Pro Vision is a powerful street lighting solution that combines DW Windsor’s flagship functional luminaire with a choice of three integrated CCTV cameras to provide an added level of safety with lower complexity.

CCTV is a valuable tool for businesses and communities to detect and prevent offences from robberies to fly-tipping. By consolidating multiple services into one product, Kirium Pro Vision reduces visual clutter whilst providing a more discreet security solution for high-risk areas. The integrated solution also ensures structural integrity for lighting columns as it avoids the need to drill and feed separate power cables needed for ‘bolt on’ solutions.

We’re truly honoured to receive this award, particularly in the face of stiff competition. Kirium Pro Vision represents a step-change in luminaire design by consolidating multiple services into a single product.

Beyond security, through software updates, Kirium Pro Vision can harness AI technology to detect, report and analyse multiple activities, including behavioural analytics, crowd monitoring, facial recognition and more.

Kirium Pro Vision can be specified with three integrated camera solutions; this includes Static, Fish Eye and Pan, Tilt & Zoom options. In addition, the range is available with a wide selection of light distributions and colour temperatures, making it suitable for many applications from town centres to car parks.

“We’re truly honoured to receive this award, particularly in the face of stiff competition,” said Mitch Waite, Senior Product Manager for DW Windsor. “Kirium Pro Vision represents a step-change in luminaire design by consolidating multiple services into a single product.”

With a history spanning over 65 years, the HEA is one of the most important trade associations within the highways sector. In 2021, their annual conference returned after a two-year hiatus due to Covid-19 restrictions. The event sees professionals from across the highway electrical sector come together for a series of talks, a dedicated exhibition and the awards ceremony.
