Purpose of role:
To be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, components, and services essential for the company’s operations. The Senior Buyer will work closely with various departments to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of high-quality materials.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to meet the company’s operational needs.
- Negotiate terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
- Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Perform cost analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitive pricing.
- Work closely with the production, engineering, and quality control teams to understand and meet their material requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency.
