Garda ‘Highly Commended’ at the Lighting Design Awards 2011

UK lighting manufacturer DW Windsor narrowly misses out on the Exterior Luminaires Product Innovation top spot

DW Windsor are extremely honoured to receive the coveted ‘Highly Commended’ accolade, within the Exterior Luminaires Product Innovation category at this year’s Lighting Design Awards, held at the Hilton Mayfair on Thursday 10th March.  Garda, their innovative LED illuminated handrail and balustrade system, was the only product within its category to receive a commendation.

Managing Director Terry Dean commented: ‘While we were extremely hopeful to win, given the market-leading properties of Garda and following encouraging remarks in the earlier judging round: Michael Grubb Director at Sutton Vane noted Garda’s 'exceptional level of consideration to detail', second place is still an incredible achievement, especially taking into account the caliber of shortlisted candidates’.
