Energy Related Products – How is DW Windsor complying?
What is ErP and how does it affect lighting?
ErP (Energy Related Products) is part of the Ecodesign directive introduced by the European Parliament, designed to tackle a product's negative impact on the environment (where decisions are made concerning product performance). It details that consideration must be given to the entire life cycle of the product, including manufacture, installation, maintenance and disposal.
ErP Directive, regulation 245/2009 sets out manufacturers requirements for lamps, ballasts and luminaires. Manufacturers must now provide product information on suitable replacement parts where accessible via the internet.
What are we doing about this legislation?
DW Windsor is committed to engineering lighting solutions that maximise energy efficiency and product design life. Whilst DW Windsor does not manufacture lamps or ballasts, we do sell these within our luminaires, where replacement parts are required and to ensure the very best performance from your product, please refer to the recommended replacements parts for purchase listed below.
Only lamps and ballasts that meet DWW’s stringent performance criteria are utilised within our products.
Maintenance and servicing instructions can additionally be accessed, using industry standard pictograms for ease of use (issued with all DW Windsor’s new products), using the link below.
